Standard s for this year

Unread postby beastlyvaulter708 » Thu Sep 11, 2003 11:14 pm

I'm a freshman and college, and even though I don't know most of the rules yet, I was wondering if the standard adjustment was true? I heard that the minimum your standards can be at this year is 18 inches? That seem kind of far, but is that true or not?

No, NCAA allows all the way up to 30cm (12") on the front side, but if you are inside 18" I would really consider getting a smaller pole.

The NCAA Standard is 45cm - 80cm. One minute between unless 2-3 competitors remain where you have three minutes. If you are lucky to be by yourself then you have five minutes. You can be allowed some time to warm up on the runway if you have not come in prior to 1 hour of the competition start but this is purely at the discretion of the official, so ask.
Hope this helps.

I agree.... NCAA regulations now read 45-80cm.
