Re: HARDEST SPORT
I am so beyond biased, but the nerve score for gymnastics kind of bugged me. I would love to see some of the people who made up the 6.x nerve score get on that 4" balance beam 4' off the ground, and throw themselves backwards into a handspring. And level 7's (4 levels before elites) do that kind of thing. And please don't get me started n bars, where basic skills like handstands become insanely fear-inducing. I just knew we get some conversation out of this list!

Yeah, I'd step into a boxing ring with someone just as good as me, because I know that I can do a whole bunch of things to beat them, but I wouldn't try to do a backflip on a balance beam... because the beam would win. Every time.

Re: HARDEST SPORT
I just meant the long jumpers being ex Olympic sprinters...
dont really see how I can be much more clear than just saying some long jumpers are just as fast as sprinters so their speed score should be about just as high. The greatest examples would have to be carl lewis, jessie owens....
and for spelling, im good at math! my spelling sucks and i try, i even type some things into google so they will spell them right for me (mostly names though). But if you really want to correct spelling, you could try volunteering at an elementary school....

Re: HARDEST SPORT
I see you made an effort in that post though! (Capitalize correctly next time! ) Small goals people, this is what it's all about!
And yes, I would agree that many long jumpers have similar top speeds (even higher sometimes) as Olympic sprinters, but the acceleration is the key here. However, I had been misconstruing your statement (although it was easily confusable due to the poor grammar ) to thinking that you meant that many Olympic long jumpers used to be Olympic sprinters (which is definitely NOT the case)... I'm sure there will be charts on all this in a few weeks!
