good morning

Lahti is looking better every day..

the town center is great... plenty of shops, market, department store.. and great pubs and resturants...

great weather yesterday for training.. we train on the "hill top" or actually the Radio Tower hill...training center..

our team is at the NEXT HOTEL SALPAUS.. salpaus@nexthotels.fi

www.nexthotels.fi

my contact is Kemmo at 04000847442

Kemmo was a vaulter for Finland.. and coaches here in Lathi at the hill top..

Kalamakki and several others were at the vault summit a couple of days ago.. it was at Somero...

go to www.maps.live.com and you can get some great Bird's eye views of everything.. stadium and tracks included...

Thanks DJ. Sounds great. Our biggest concern will be getting our poles in and out of the Finland and to Lahti and/or, the availability of poles for rent from locals. Can you ask around about that? Thanks so much and have a great time. Bubba

hey

kemmo knows where every pole in finland is located.. plus i saw and searched through .. about a 100 brand new pacer poles in Somero, carbon and glass.. various sizes..

if you come into hellsenki you can bring the poles on the bus to lathi... or strap them to your car..

i'll keep you guys posted.. i'm doing some mini clinics over the next month and will try and develop some good will for all of us..
