What are claws and ostrich done with a pole.
Also what do you exactly mean about the standard violation so that I can catch for that at the next meet.

That rule does not apply to US high school meets, only college and open meets.
True, but it still helped (forgive me for not being on queue with these individual rules. I'm just surprised that manufacturers make equipment, that violates IAAF rules).

As Becca stated. The standards in the video, is not violating US High School meets. However, it violates the IAAF technical rules:

Rule183 and forward (page 141).
In regards to claws and ostrich: This video shows Lauren Fleshman performing the drills I know as claws and ostrich (I suspect you already know them under a different name).
She's doing them without a pole, but is easy doing with a pole:

Ostrich: 1:30 into the video
Claws: 4:00 into the video

Sorry, I posted an incorrect link to the IAAF Competition Rules. The correct link is here:
http://iaaf.org/mm/Document/imported/42192.pdf
Check page: 144, Figure 8.
The crossbar support on the video, extends upwards (with multiple pegs, which is really cool for training purposes). It allows for the crossbar to "ride" on the extension, and not jump towards the runway.
But these are the international rules. Becca says, they don't cover High School meets, and according to your rules, is the crossbar support valid.
