Anybody konw a gibeault?

ive been reading alot of posts about mike drummy and all these other people that i know persoanlly and i had no idea they were this popular anybody hear of any gibeaults

Yes, the Gibeaults are "Vault Legends" from N.E. Connecticut. Your father taught me how to vault and your uncle was a vault god.

In H.S., (circa 1977) your uncle would stop by track practice after working all day and in jeans and work boots would grab our orange aluminum pole, sprint down our dirt runway and leap over 11-6 like it was nothing (no bungies back then, only a bent to hell, triangular aluminum cross-bar) and then land gracefully on our 3 foam stuffed bags; the whole time he’d have this grin on his face (from ear to ear) while he accelerated past us. Our jaws would drop and you know, I’ll never forget it…

haha wow, i heard my uncle vaulted for Ellis Tech. at states and won it back in the day, and yea, my father and i are going up to maine

Sorry to say I don't but I hope that will change as we keep going to meets around the country. Love stories like this.

I was a big fan of Drummy though. Dude could flat out jump. He looked small and mortal - very much NOT like an athlete but MAN he had mad skills. Bubba

i just got drummys old spikes that he went 18 somethnig in :), theyre a little too big though

I think thats really cool that you have a line of pole vaulters in your family. I'm the first so hopefully i can start big things.

lol hopefully ill be the first in a new line of succesfull pole vaulters throughout the future generations of my family ;)

just like what gregg duplantis is doing with armondo duplantis. My god a 7 year old jumping what 7ft 8 inches i think
