I've got a question. This may be a stupid question. I'm not very knowledgeable about vaulting equipment, but can a 140 lb male use a mystic carbon pole rated for a 145 girl?

i cant see why not....pacers series for mystic carbons and carbon fx is that they dont have any carbon fx's under 15 feet in length that i know of and all of the ones under that are mystic carbons so i dont think its exactly a girl pole its just the girls cant get on the carbon fx's

Yes.
Mystic poles are great for smaller boys if they can get over the pink wrap.

The carbon pole doesn't have the pink wrap, so it wouldn't necessarily look girlish, but I wonder if there any good male vaulters that can't get up on a 15 foot pole that can with a 14 or 14-6 pole, who are using one. Does anyone know of any?

What's the highest you've cleared. My vaulter has gone 13-6 on a 13-9 155 altius non carbon.

well yea guys can cuz this year alone ive jumped on three of them i weigh like 130-35 and we started me at a 150 then a week later 155 then a week and half after that 160 and i loved emm but i wouldnt recomend them because they gave me a mental block from regular poles cuz seeing how they are smaller in hand grip and lighter once u start to use a " normal" pole u will feel it to be much heavier and harder to handle!

I borrowed a 14' 180lb Carbon Mystic this weekend to compete on from 5 lefts. It was wrapped like a normal CarbonFX, but it said Mystic on it....weird.
