So far we have managed to turn a broken pole into a rocket launcher

1. Cross bar "putter-uppers"
with a few small adjustments
2. Drills (as an aid or to get your arms/hands in a similar position during a drill that you would have them during the vault)
3. Wall Decoration

How are you using them for rocket launches? I wanna know in case I come across a broken pole

you can turn the pole into many different things, with just a little imagination:
+ a potato gun - if allowed by your state
+ get two and some bungee cord and make a giant slingshot
+ break it up into 3 foot long pieces and make a dirt flinger
+ a nice, long digerido
+ depending on the weight rating, turn it into a dumbbell bar
+ turn it into a smoke bomb smoke stack
just to name a few ideas, man I got so many of them.

you make sure both ends are open, then have 1 person hold it on their shoulder and aim, while another lights the rockets in the back of the pole and shoves them in.. .and out the other end they come!

i've got a 2 foot section behind my seat in my truck as a beater stick for sticky situations. Don't know about you, but getting whacked with piece of fiberglass pole hurts like hell...
They also make great whiffle ball and stick ball bats

We had a 15' 170 that got ran over by a truck. So we cut it down to a 12' and stuck the tip in a corner and held the rest up with rope. We jump on and swing and use it to practice getting inverted while the pole is uncoiling.

well we had a pole break years ago... so we use the remaining like 9 ft of it and use it as a drill pole... practice 1 handers... rock back, swing... all that good stuff
