Looking for some STIFF poles

Unread postby Horse » Mon May 09, 2005 4:30 pm

Currently I am vaulting on a 5.10m 13.9 ESSX carbon (really awesome pole), but am looking for something stiffer like 13.2 (or around there preferably stiffer) and a 12.5 (or around there preferably stiffer) and lengths of 5.00m to 5.20m. I hold about 4.90 on the 5.10 pole to get it even stiffer, but have had bad experiences holding too low on longer poles

My specs are 6'6" 210lbs...i would hope to find something

I am not looking for new poles cause i dont have the money so older/used poles will do. I am currently in Central Oregon and would drive to pick up any poles in N. Cali or Western Washington aswell as anywhere in Oregon (maybe even Idaho; cant drive too far with gas prices so high)

lemme know what you have if anything at all

Sry i havent gotten back to you sooner Rainbowgirl28, ive been real busy lately.

Just have a couple questions first how stiff is the 16'9" 220 11.8 Pacer Carbon 1998 or should i say how big is Kris (ht, wt, and how fast was he)...i made a mistake and bought a pole once that was too stiff for me and i still cant use it (the flex is way off and has to be much stiff then what is says cuz i have jump on poles up to 25lbs over my body weight and never had the problem i was having with this pole that was at my body weight....but anyways i dont have a lot of money...and could probably only afford 3 so i would say the poles i would want are:

16'9" 210 13.0 Pacer Carbon 1996 $50
16'5" 205 12.7 Pacer Carbon 1996 $50 Chopped to 16'1" this pole has a purple and yellow wrap
and
------------------------------------------------------------------
16'9" 220 11.8 Pacer Carbon 1998 $50
or
16'5" 205 13.2 Pacer Carbon 1996 $50 Chopped to 16'0" this pole has a red and yellow wrap

(depending on what information you can give me about the guy who vaulted on this pole)
-----------------------------------------------------------------

I can wait till june the 12th because that is the sunday after finals so places i could meet you Weed, CA (where Hwy 97 meets I-5:1hr or so south of me)

Ashland or Medford (also about an hr away, but west of me)

if you cant stop there i could meet you some where in Eugene (3hrs from where i am at now...could make it about 2hrs away if go home for summer a little early)

I may even head for seattle after i drop my stuff off at home (to go see my brother/sister/friends that i didnt get to see over springbreak)

Lemme know

Those poles were Scott Hennig's. He's 6'2"/190ish and jumped 19'0.25".
