What is the best brand of pole?
What are your opinions on the best pole! Our school is pretty poor so they don't buy us poles! My dad told me if I got 11' at state he will buy me a pole! Yes I'm a guy and I know that may sound quite low, yet I am from one of the smallest Pole Vaulting schools in South Dakota! Thanks!
PM me if you know of any vaults around the Midwest!

If you read through the old posts on here, there have been a lot of debates about this.
The answer is that the best pole is the one that is the right size for what you need. You could have a $400 carbon pole, but if it is the wrong size it is not going to do you any good. You could dig up an Pacer III from your school's shed, and if it is the right size, it is going to be money.

Correction: the PacerFX is a fiberglass pole with the same design as a carbon, but a little heavier and cheaper. The CarbonFX is the carbon model that is lighter and more expensive.

if you're jumping 11' don't worry about the brand name of a pole. Get the cheapest pole you can find thats the right size as you'll probably just blow through it and about 3 weeks. The brand name will not make any difference for a vaulter at 11'. I don't think it makes a difference for a vaulter at 18 feet either. It's all in the head. If you're a good vaulter you're gonna jump high on what ever poles you're jumping on, whether it be a Pacer III or a Carbon FX.
