Just Received the New ESSX Flame Pole Tips!

Unread postby vaulterman304 » Thu Feb 18, 2010 12:22 am

I have been looking at the new ESSX Flame pole tips for a while now and finally just received some. The quality alone is above and beyond any pole tip that I have seen, let alone the advantage the design gives to the movement of the poles. I thought that the design was very interesting on the ESSX website but when I had them in front of me and could feel them and see them up close, I knew that a great deal of ingenuity went in to the design and material. They just feel like they will last a long time, they don't feel "rubbery" like some of the other tips that seem to wear out as fast as you put them on and prevent the pole from rolling in smoothly and efficiently from all the wear. It is easy to tell that they are not made to force people to stockpile pole tips so they wont run out, they were made to be a good, durable product and really help bring good vaults! Plus they look really awesome on the end of the pole!

Geez... why don't you just marry the pole tip... Ha...

Have you done any pole runs with them? While they are priced nearly double of their gill counterparts do they erode like gills plugs? How do they compare to the harder UCS's?

Haha, so far after a bunch of pole runs there is not really any noticeable wear. They are guaranteed not to wear through for 45 days. There is definitely a bit more material on the ESSX tips around the edges, so I would imagine at worst if they had the same resistance to wear, the ESSX would last longer due to more material. Material wise, It would make more sense for a high tensile polymer to wear less than plastic. I may be mistaken tho? The poles move very well with the tip on. Very smooth and seem to be able to press them through more until the pole tip slides to the front of the box when you try to press through and walk off the back of the pit.
