compulsory reading

Looking through a lot of the posts recently, i have found that as you would expect, lots of beginners are asking questions(which obviously should be encouraged).
But then when another (beginner) gives a piece of advice which has some flaws, they are then ripped into by a more experienced vaulter. Which often leads to a quick rebuttal from the begginer and then the origonal question is forgotten about and the forum deteriorates into a slagging match.
So my suggestion is that just like there is a set of forum rules, maybe there should be a set of "required reading".
Not only would this would answer many often asked questions, thereby saveing young vaulters a lot of time by not having to ask the same question that others have asked before, but it would also save more experienced vaulters a lot of frustration.
The contents of this list would most likly be a hotly debated topic(not necessarily a bad thing) but i am sure that we could come up with at least 5 topics if not more that we all agree upon.
let me know what you think about it and what topics should be included in the "required reading".
