To all of you who train pole vaulters at your house through a club or other, I could use your advice. I recently acquired a set of pole vault mats and plan to coach/train local high school kids at my home in Warsaw, NY. I am interested in what precautions to take regarding insurance and liability waivers or anything else I may be overlooking.
I have a couple of ideas, but I'd really like to hear from those who are doing it--how you are doing it? Specific questions would be--what type of insurance policy do you have? How much do you pay per year for insurance? What is the language in your insurance policy? What is the language in your liability waiver?
I'd like to get some fresh ideas and opinions and then I'll discuss my current thoughts for how to make it work.
Thanks,
Mike
PS-I have applied to become a USATF club through the Niagara association.
