Your a lil under 6 feet which is actaully pretty tall. True u can be taller, but 6 feet is tall enough, the taller the better, but i think the average height of the 6 meter club is about 190ish, but ur def not short.

There is no "perfect" hieght for a vaulter -- I believe. I say this because Jeremy Scott is 6'9" tall and Greg Duplantis was around 5'6 or 7" when he jumped.

And likewise on the women's side, Mary Sauer is 5'4", and Yelena Isinbayeva is 5'9". I have even seen some 6' + female vaulters in some meets.

We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Some of us are tall, some fast, some can jump well, some have long arms and legs for tier hieght etc....

If you enjoy vaulting do it.....play to your strengths and work on your weak areas.

I'll tell you what the perfect hight is when I get that tall.

Is it just me or is there like one really good small vaulter in a state. I know a guy who vaulted against this guy that was like 5' tall and the little guy vaulted like 17 ft in college.

Not just because I'm biased or anything, but aren't small vaulters fun to watch. I'm talking about the guys that we see jumping just as high as other vaulters, but they have to be so much more technically sound and also blazing fast. I don't know about anyone else, but the shorter the vaulter, the higher the height seems to be.

thats the kind of stuff I'm talking about... Especially when they win. then they normally go really high so their flying down the runway.

I'm kindo short so it feels alot higher for me.

I think around 6' is good, any taller is obviously better but i know a couple of guys that are around 6'4" and they can't swing for their lives, and any shorter is fine u just have to be fast and almost perfict off the ground. Just look at saraf hes prob 5'8"!
