Late-night meets

Unread postby Vault&Flip » Sat Mar 19, 2005 12:30 am

Okay, so tonight we had a meet where the girls pole vault started at 530pm with the guys pole vault not starting until about 8pm and lasting until about 10pm or so. So, this made me wonder what is the latest that any of you have vaulted at an INVITATIONAL.....I know there have been random dual meets or vaults later at night, but I was wondering about invitationals since the time schedules are often predetermined. It was also about 40 with a headwind, which is not good vault weather by any means.

i've come into a competition at 11:50 something at night before...yeah
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. - Muhammad Ali

Talent in cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.

It was a college run invite, and i think their were over 100 teams, it was ridicolouslarge but run very very well. Also, they had alot of event that usually arn't indoors, like the DMR, SMR, 4xmile, 4x2 mile. Though it was long, it was really fun, and i wish they would continued that meet.

Yeah, it was, try having like 100 vaulters, it looked like something from Jan's camps, just poles everywhere.
