Aaron Clark, a former All-American pole vaulter at Minnesota State University Moorhead, took up marathon running as a way to stay in shape. Clark had little idea that she would become a marathon champion.


The Fargo Shanley High School graduate won the women’s title at the Oct. 3 Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon, completing the 26-mile, 385-yard course in 2 hours, 58 minutes, 30 seconds.

“Me and my sister did our first marathon in about five hours and thought we’d never do another one again,â€Â
