Check out this new pole vaulting game video. They have added it so that you are seeing through the eayes of the vaulter during part of it. At least thats what the video shows. I played a Demo of the high jump and i saw this pole vault video on it.

i was just looking at some othe screen shots for it..and there's one where the guys bending the pole and his form looks horrible haha

Did you notice that when the vaulter lifts his pole, his top hand is gripping the pole backwards?
Probably had a poor excuse for a model for the motion capture.

Ok,. Just got the real deal game today. It is one SWEET track and field and all around olympics game. The Pole vault is awesome, but there are other events as well as other sports. I just vaulted 5.75m. It is cool becausse it goes like a real competion, and you can choose the women or mens competition. You can pass heights and the go to every 5cm. Startign at 5.40m for men and 4.10 for women. It is awesome.
The full decathlon feature is cool

did anyone play the ps2 game for the 2000 olympics that had track events including pole vault, swimming, weight lifting, and some gymnastics.
hartwig was the model for that one and there is an interview with him on the extra features.
