Unread postby palmapv » Tue Jan 15, 2008 6:36 pm

I am a newer vaulter but lately i have been blowing through my poles like crazy because i am 165 and my poles are for 150. So i am thinking about buying new poles but dont know what i should get. I have a decent vault but my PR is 11'6''

You must get poles rated above your weight to be legal in meets. I would advise going 6" shorter in length and begin with a 165. Good luck.

How long are the poles you are using now?

I would suggest if you are blowing through whatever length pole that is a 150, start with one 6" shorter that is a 165. So if you are blowing through a 13'150, a 12'6 165 would be a good place to start.
