It just reminded me of the picture on the cover of BTB, the one where Bubka is in the exact same vertical position with the pole almost fully bent (it's kind of like a background picture). I just noticed it when was watching this video in slo-mo.

when you swing you have to do it so that you catch the pole while it's still bent. Like on a high bar on a free hip. Too late and your off the front.
