yes, my dad got them about 25 years ago and they were ten years old then!! they are pretty much falling apart nowadays but still work and look good. no serious injuries throughout the years. its also hard to jump everyday tho because you get tired and have other things to do, also injuries suck big time.

I've Had Many, But

At practice several years ago Borya Celentano had just cleared around 17' and as he was falling his pole came under the bar and caught under the edge of his shorts and ripped them off. It was scary and then funny but also one of those jumps where the pole stood straight up and balanced for a few seconds after. Borya was in the pit in his jock and we looked up to see his shorts still stuck on top of the pole as it fell into the pit. I've got it on video someplace and really should dig it out.
