Yeah I understand... Maybe I'll post a topic in 'Announcements', but yeah I totally see where you're coming from.

Not that you could buy this anymore, but this is a poster I've had since 1992 of Bubka:

http://i524.photobucket.com/albums/cc327/ifavault/Bubka1.jpg

When I was vaulting at Clackamas Community College (Oregon) in 1992, Bubka and Quincy Watts (400m) both came to NIKE TOWN in Portland, OR that year. I was there with several local vaulters, trackies, and a few news crews. I purchased a Bubka poster and listened to him talk for a while. Then there was a rush for his autograph by reaching across the roped off section where they were sitting. I reached in and that's his signature on the bottom right of the poster below his left hand. I totally lucked out to get it right side up and in a location where it could be seen due to most of the poster being kind of dark.

The story gets even better: after he left the staging area, he went into a back room only to come out to do some shopping about 30 minutes later. Three of us from Clackamas still happened to be there, so we gave our camera to a stranger that we could all stand next to him to get a picture. Unfortunately, we had borrowed the camera from somebody and it turned out there was no film! (It was a very old camera with a manual rewind...this was way back in the day before digitals and camera phones were everywhere). Well, not to be dissuaded, we found out that he was flying out of Portland that night, so we got a better camera and stood on the drop-off section of the airport until he pulled up in a limo. When he saw us again, we got a discouraged look, but we tried to explain that the original picture didn't take, so he stood with us again for a few more pictures. We helped carry his luggage into the terminal and then left very excited. I'm not exactly sure, but I think one of the guys with him was his brother. Needless to say, I got a camera for Christmas the next year.

I took this image of the poster outdoors to avoid glare from a flash, but I got some reflection of the trees behind my house. (And there's the patio furniture in the background.)

The poster has Bubka's Indoor World Records (15) listed from '84 to '91 (up to 6.12m) and Outdoor World Records (10) '84 to '91 (up to 6.07m). They are listed on the left hand side of the poster.

Can you believe I thumb-tacked this to my apartment wall for two years before I got it framed? :o

Definitely the prize of my pole vault collection. I'd consider selling it for a cool 7 figures ;) Let me know if you're interested.

It may as well be hanging in the Louvre.

Just thought I'd share since the topic of "Posters" came up.
