Vinatieri- ex pole vaulter?

I was watching the Patriots game and I think the announcer just said that Adam Vinatieri used to be a pole vaulter. Googled it, but there was way too much stuff. Does anyone have any results or video of him?

him and myself are SOOOO similar its scary. he was a quarterback in high school for football, kicker as well.. AND polevaulted :eek:

I heard that during the game too and mentioned it to my dad. He must have had a quick leg in his vaulting form.

i heard that and then proceeded to shout the news to everyone watching the game with me. it was quite exciting. bummer about the pats though :crying:
