mrose is the only PV Power member that had New Orleans listed as a location. I sent him an email to see how he and his family are doing.

Becca,

My family has safely evacuated New Orleans.

Our home is probably destroyed.

We have confirmation of at least 15 feet of water in our subdivision.

Keep us in your prayers.

Just remember, pole vaulter are pretty tough dudes and gals.

Mark

When I talked with Earl he said that Doug had left prior to the hurricane, what about Dr. Batherson is my question. Tad Gormley stadium holds some really sweet memories for me. I won my only US CHampionship so far,and pred with my 1st 14ft! SO sad! The victims are for sure in my prayers!

I was at Bells with a dude that was from New Orleans...it's crazy how much water is down there. We were freaking out up here with 4 inches of rain in one day (a record), I can't imagine that kind of flooding.

Daryn, take care of you.

He is fine, but his home is in the area flooded the worst.

Another show of sportsmanship.

RUSTON – Due to the affects of Hurricane Katrina, Tulane’s football team will now call Louisiana Tech home for the 2005 season.

Both universities made the announcement Tuesday morning that the Green Wave football program – players, coaches and support staff – would be moving from their temporary home in Dallas to Ruston later this week.

The Green Wave football players will be enrolling in classes, which don’t begin at Tech until Sept. 12, and using the universities athletic facilities during this season. The players and coaches will be housed in Caruthers Dorm on the university campus at first until additional housing becomes available.

“I’m absolutely delighted that we are able to help our sister institution,â€Â

Doug Fraley and his family and pets are staying with Lane Lohr and his family in St. Louis. Lane got him a job working on the grounds crew at Lindenwood while they try to figure everything out.
