up here in minnesota it was like 45 degrees with
30 mph winds...it sucked. We've had a couple days when it was about perfect (65-75 and a small tailwind).
We've had one meet cancelled, and one postponed already.

I love vaulting when it is between warm and hot...it really just has to be sunny with a nice little tail wind. I basically love vaulting in the summer when, in Sacramento, it gets to be about 5 pm and the delta breeze starts coming through.
However, yesterday at practice we had a CRAZY tailwind. On a four stride, I had to move my step back two feet. There was a meet for the distance runners going on and the wind totally blew one of the huge metal tents (you know the ones that I am talking about) down to the ground and then dragged it for a good 30 feet until they got control of the mangled mess. A little too strong for my tastes, but it was fun nonetheless.
