That's a trick that gets used indoors a lot. Just compensate for the thickness of the wood.

Easy enough to smash out the asphalt where the Anchor bolts are going to go, remove the rocks etc then either use a post hole borer or hand dig holes around 1.5 feet deep by 8x8inches wide should be enough obviously the wider you go the stronger it will be.

If your confident enough put bolts in when concreting if not wait for crete to dry then mark out and drill holes
