I guess this is as good of a forum as any to post such a thing.

Post any video you have or can find of old school vaulters. I'd say 80s or earlier, but preferably earlier.

Here is a great one I found of Dutch Warmerdam

Here is another interesting video:

Phil Manuel is shown in a practice pole vault at what appears to be close to 4.50 meters in June, 1963, at the Southwest High School track in Kansas City, MO. As a senior in Feb., 1963, he had established a new national high school indoor record of 4.17 meters. In the months that followed, he set seven major meet records, including victories at the City and State championships. With the introduction of the world's first fiberglass poles in the early 1960's, Manuel's unique career in grades 8-12 included the pioneer evolving use of bamboo, aluminum, stiff fiberglass, and flexible fiberglass poles. His great hero, of course, was vaulting legend Cornelius Warmerdam.

I'm pretty sure the sign is indicating 15'. He was the first person to jump 15' and it was 11 years later before another vaulter was able to break that barrier.

Here is a great web page with a lot of information about Dutch.
