HELP, I miss vaulting
OK So I am 24 years old, I vaulted throughout high school and for 2 year in college, 1 year in the NAIA and 1 in D1. I Quit because I joined the ROTC and now I am in Iraq. I need to get back into vaulting, I have learned the Army has a Track and Field Team. I have 9 months left here and want to get into shape to start jumping again. What can I do while out here to help, or is it to late?

Re: HELP, I miss vaulting
Do you mean West Point has a track team, something that anyone in the Army can do, or their World Class athlete program?
Unless you get back in school and still have eligibility, I don't think you are going to have vaulting options through the Army. I haven't heard of pole vaulting being an option in any casual track programs they have, and you have to be better than an 18' pole vaulter to get into the World Class program.
But when you are done in Iraq, there are always pole vaulting clubs that you could train with back in the US.
