You can use the IrfanView help file or follow the directions I have written out below. To see the help file, press F1, click Index then click Capture then click Display.

In IrfanView, click Options, click Capture. In the window displayed, note in the "Capture method" window what you do to initiate the capture. For me it is Ctrl+F11. Then click Start. Now you can select any application window to make it the active window. You will obviously want your Bear window to be active. When it is, push Ctrl+F11 (or whatever your method is). That will place the entire image of that window into the IrfanView program. I usually then drag a rectangle around the portion of the image I want to keep and then click on Edit, then Crop Selection. Now click on File, then Save, then decide what file type you want to save it as, (I use JPG), give it a name, select a directory to save it in, and then click Save. There are other JPG options that you can choose, but they aren't necessary.

You have to use the img tags with an image file like a JPG... you can't use them with something that ends in .html

You're not idiotic, you just need a slight modification to your post. Your image statement looks like this...
