Its against our rule but in practice i have mints in my mouth to keep its watery (if thats a word) I would choke if i had it when i vaulted

I feel that chewing gum keeps my mind from over analyzing my vault... I have a problem of overthinking, and thinking about chewing seems to distract me a little... Also, I am quite addicted to it... If I don't have at least a piece of gum or two everday, I will literally get a migraine...

Dragila vaulted with gum at the olympics. Im not sure why, maybe some sports psychologist relaxing thing?

okay, so this isn't track, but I chewed gum constantly during marching band and winterguard (even though we weren't allowed to lol), i did it to keep my mouth from getting dry and scratchy during practice running around and stuff
