In my opinion, pole probably could of had a ding in it from hitting the standards and/or something else. Even though you may not see a ding, there could be one under the wrapping or not noticable. Poles do not usually break, unless there is some possible damage to them. When I jump, I always put a towel around each standard to protect my poles from getting dinged. The jumps looks like you have a good takeoff and plant. Good luck with your jumping.
