Good Vault for a 9th grader?
I was just wondering what is a good height for a 9th grade pole vaulter?
a good vault for a freshman would be somewhere around 12' 6"...in my opinion....of course it depends on your definition of good..12' 6" would set you up to probably around a 15 foot vaulter by the end of HS....probably, but that all depends on teh person and when you peak and fill out, etc etc etc...the list goes on.

oh come guys.....
a good vault for a 9th grader is 10'6... but thats around where i live. The junior high distric qualifing is 8'6.. high school is 10ft..from where i live. And state qualifing is 13ft. I jumped 11'9 in 9th grade..i was ranked 1st in the distric . But keep on trying. You want to spend more time off the runway doing drills than being on the runway. A 2:1 ratio.
