Stuck with poles that I cannot vault correctly

Unread postby whoisjohnlamb » Sat Apr 21, 2012 7:27 pm

I am 170 pounds. I am jumping on a 160 14ft pacer III (yes I know I am 10 pounds over) that I hold about 12' 6" - 13'. Any higher and I cannot get into the pit. When I vault I get zero to minimal flex on the pole. Best on this pole is 10' 6".

My school is willing to purchase a pole that I can do better on but I have no idea where to go next, any suggestions?

PS there is a slight possibility that the pole is mislabeled and it is bigger than a 160 but I will know til Monday.

I would go with a bit shorter pole... probably a 13'6 170 based on what you have said so far. Video is always helpful.
