Im sure we've all had our spell of it now and again, but im speaking on behalf of my team-mate. She was the state champion last year jumping 11'6" and from that jump on hasnt gone into the pit once. we've practiced all off season but every single run she takes, she gets halfway down the run way and bails out. her mid-step is perfect, but for some strange reason she wont commit to a jump. i was just wondering if yall could share any techniques you used to get over your vaulters block and start jumping again. It would really help her out a lot because shes to the point of quitting, but she's able to get a full scholarship to a good school. so i just need some help to get her confidence back up

Slow everything down. Do a three step on a small pole. Work back from there

11'6 won't get a full scholarship to a good school, but if she thinks it does, maybe she's putting too much pressure on herself. She's got to go down to a very short run until she is taking off again, then slowly work her way back up.
