Okay, so heres the specs of my current pole
15'0" Carbon Essx 165.0 lbs (flex of 19.4 or 19.8 not sure which one. 19.4 is engraved 19.8 is just written so probably a 19.4)
I am consistenly blowing through this pole from 6 steps and have just started using it from 5. I cleared 15 on this pole holding about 14ft but that is the highest i can get out if it right now.
Heres my 15 jump. the standards were at 27 the whole time and the only reason i wasnt blowing through is because i had a headwind that day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F0E8IzC4zk

So my question is what would be the next jump? the only other pole my school has is a 15 170 spirit with a 17.6 flex. But i cannot not use it and it feels like a huge difference.

btw i am a senior. im 5'11" and i weight about 161

Thank you for any help!

Where are you? I have a series of Spirit poles from 150 to 165 lb. Some are in Florida and some are in Missouri. They are all for sale. I think a pole with a flex in the 18s is what you need (about a 15' 165 in Spirit).

I live in south florida. Fort lauderdale area. A 15 165 would be great.

I have a Pacer III 165 that has been labeled and is high school legal in Palm Coast, FL. My Spirit 165 is in Missouri and I will be bringing those poles home in 2 or 3 weeks.

Also, I have an Essx 14' 7" 178 that is slightly stiffer than a 15' 165 (in Florida).

PM me if you would like.

essexpv91: by the way you vault, i have a feeling that a 15' 165 spirit would work for you from 6 (if you are indeed blowing through the 165 essex), however, considering you're 161lbs, if you start to actually jump up at take-off, it's gonna become too soft, real fast and the 170 you already have might not even be big enough for you). Just something to consider. -6P
