1. Focus on having a high drive knee and a long swing leg
2. Once you swing to your top hand and begin your pull turn, flex your toes toward you and keep your chin tucked in.
3. Practice with a bar in place that way you get used to going over it
What is nice about this sport is that I am responsible for most everything.

You may have set the record for longest sentence there, tomcat :D

As hard as it is to do sometimes, the best advice I can give is to compete with a clear mind. You think things through in practice, and try to make changes there. Even before you jump you can visualize what you are going to do and rehearse the vault in your mind. Once you step on the runway, let your training take over.

I will sometimes have my vaulters focus on one thing such as a high plant or powerful steps out of the back of their run, but usually it is to reiterate something they already know and keep them from overthinking the rest of the jump.

It is good that you see the connection between your plant and finish. As for drills to improve your swing, anything on a highbar is great. Do lots of bubkas or just a whipping swing (kind of like a gymnastics giant but with one leg bent). Continue to strengthen your core which will help stabilize you throughout the final phases of your vault. If you need anything else let me know and I can forward you some good resources.
