tips/drills for getting off the top

I'm having a little trouble pushing off the top of the pole. I'm getting vertical and staying close to the pole just fine but i can't get vertical fast enough while still holding out the plant to be able to turn and push while the pole is finishing unbending. So if anyone could tell me about some pointers or drills i can do to help that, it would be appreciated.

There's this one drill I saw Galfione doing in a video on youtube (don't know what vid it is...) but it's like an assisted handstand type thing on a staircase. Your spotter holds your legs while your top hand is on a step up from your bottom hand. You push off the floor with your bottom hand and your spotter helps you up, then start to push with your top.

what you do on top is 99% a direct result of what you do the rest of the jump. Search for the correct run and take off, then search for correct swing technique. Its nearly impossible to have a bad take off, bad swing, and good pop on the top of the pole. If you do, your top end then could be better. I was taught not to even worry about many things near the end of the vault (ie. the "top end"), but focus on the energy transfer and let the top end take care of itself for the most part.

I agree with the above, you can’t have a big pull through push off with out good plant. However increasing ones ability to drop the shoulders and get up the back of the pole really can help.
One way to help a drill or sorts, is get on a very tiny pole (for you) and go through a vault and fly away, landing on your stomach. Work specifically on the plant, turn, and push. As this starts to take place, start increasing pole weight, slowly but surly eventfully everything can start to go up.
