Stalling Out
I have a HS girl vaulter jumping on a 12' 140 Mystic holding 10'8"ish she weighs about 125. Here is the problem When she takes off on her mark she stalls, when she takes of 6" to 12" under she blows through the pole. I think her take off is rather flat I will try to post some vids.

IF her step is on her takeoff mark each time, lower her grip 3". Too high of a grip can be a signifier of stalling out, as are many other faults in a vault.
How are her arms positioned at takeoff? If her arms aren't fully extended giving her the highest plant angle possible, that might be one of the causes.
Not jumping when she takes off and letting the pole take her off the ground wastes a lot of energy, thus moving the pole slower to vertical and will cause her to stall.
Or she might not be fluent with her phases. I used to have this problem in high school where I would have a decent takeoff, decent swing, but I wouldn't collapse my bottom arm enough and inside of the pole so I couldn't get my hips up and my body in line with the pole. My vault would slow up a ton and I'd fall off the pole.
*i'm pretty sure the points i just made are fairly accurate, but please correct me if i'm wrong on anything

Maybe she can hold one half to one hand hold higher. That might help slow her pole speed down because of the higher grip if she is blowing through taking off when her step is on. If she weighs 125 and is jumping on a 12-140lb pole gripping 10'8" mystic she can probably hold higher. Is this your sophmore or senior? If you can post some videos that would be great.

hey
moving a grip "up" if a vaulter is stalling is not a very safe move...
she may not be "blowing" through when she is under.. she may simply be passing the pole... and not staying behind it... blowing through and passing the pole can feel the same,, as if the pole is to soft..
when the takeoff is correct and she stalls.. how much bend does she have??

I would say a normal amount probably closer to over bending.
I originally said she was on a 12' 140 actually it is a 12'6" 140 holding at about 11'2". Yesterday I moved her down to 10'8" and she did much better. But I do think she needs a shorter stiffer pole. She was barely holding above the pole wrap and the pole is not reacting properly.
