Technique or power?

Unread postby zachwinters156 » Fri Aug 19, 2011 11:09 am

So many coaches say that more focus should go into improving technically and huge improvements can be made by doing this alone. I agree, but i also believe huge improvements can be made by improving physically as well. My question is, which is easier? to make your technique flawless or to become a freak athlete

You should be dedicated to improving both technique and athleticism if you want to meet your potential. Also, developing the mental aspect of the vault is important, which can limit many potentially great vaulters.

You can't become a freak athlete...I think you either are one or you're not, and everyone else has to work super hard. Technique can help everyone, especially someone who is not lucky enough to be a freak athlete.

So yes, all of the above.
