Hey there new to the forum
I'm by no means a vault coach, but am trying to learn all that I can through watching videos and reading info on this forum to help a female friend of mine who does not have a coach. Any help would be appreciated.
My friend is struggeling with turning too late. (sorry no video to post) she has been clearing 12' 6" very convinsingly but is doing so basically on her side, not with her belly flat to the bar. When she gets to the next heights she has the hip height to get over, but is unable to pike because she hasn't turned all the way yet... Her approach is consistantly about 6" under, but other than the I dont know how to help her, (real noob here)
What are some other things I can look for that might help her turn properly?

The take-off is most likely the major issue. This problem could probably be traced to her run. If she runs properly, she will have a better take-off, swing, and inversion. She can't really turn (I'm guessing) because she is still trying to invert while the pole is unbending. If you get her to be finished with her inversion when the pole is at its maximum bend, then shifting the hips up an driving the shoulders down will cause a very natural turn. Try to get some video up!
