We understand that but there are so many of us that have seen a lot of bad things happen in the pole vault. It all about safety and most people want to help but we want to help people that really want to see the sport get more attention while staying safe, not somebody who just wants to get the highest pr possible ignoring all else
What is nice about this sport is that I am responsible for most everything.

if you want to judge me that way alright but what kind of person would not want to be safe?

we dont have a top pad, we have a cover, and theres really nothing we can do about it,, the cover is more of a safety hazard because it doesnt really hold in the cracks when they form with the pads even when the pads are clipped together... our pads are pretty much falling apart on the handles and we are forced to carry them back and forth into a trailer everytime we use it in practice...

we were told we would get new pads by spring,, but my schools not really good with these things... and maybe i should help the team by helping them get new pads? but not too sure what i can do.. im not the coach,,, i just vault in track and wanted to get some help..

You either run heel-toe or your take off step is heel-toe. That slows you down, run on your toes and hit your take off step right underneath your body not in front of you. I dont have a definitive shot of your take off but i would assume you are far under by the way your hands are positioned. You break your trail leg and ball up, and have no shot at getting inverted when you are pulling with your bottom arm. Swing around your top hand, and dont use your bottom arm to help with your swing.
The greater the challenge, the more glorious the triumph
