Grand Valley State Holliday Open 12/16/05

Grand Valley State is hosting their Annual Holiday Open on Friday December 16 at 5:00 pm. everyone in the area should come. its going to be a blast! Entrance fees have been $10 in the past and i would assume it would be the same this year. i will let you know if it isnt $10.

where is it and do you have to supply your own poles?

its right by grand rapids, MI. its a little under three hours from chicago. if you needed poles, i could probably find just about anything 12' or longer.

Just out of curiosity,

what is the best way to get to Grand Rapids from chicago? Driving, train?

you could take the train, but its expensive and you would end up at best 20 minutes from grand valley. car would be the way to go. if you are downtown, you take the skyway east to I94east then I196 north in michigan. it shouldnt take more than 3 hours.

lets just say that it felt like i had not pole vaulted in 5 monthes...i flopped over the bar on both my 13' and 13'6" jumps. i only made one real attempt at 14' on my last jump. my first two i decided to freak out and run weird. oh well, thats it's a start. next up....Chicago Opener at the University of Chicago on Saturday 1/7/06!
