Women's PV
1 Isinbayeva (RUS) 4.93
2 Rogowska (POL) 4.83 NR
3 Pyrek (POL) 4.63
4 Schwartz (USA) 4.43
5 Polnova (RUS) 4.43
6 Ellis (CAN) 4.33
7 Elisdottir (ISL) 4.33
All NH at 4.33:
Grigorieva (AUS)
Whitlock (GBR)
Hamackova (CZE)
Good job by the officials in selecting heights that would give Isinbayeva a chance for another world record at 5.03 and Rogowska a chance for a national record at 4.83. It didn't work for Isinbayeva, but moves Rogowska into a time with Dragila for third-best all-time.
Maybe not such a good job by the officials, if the starting order given on the website was correct and it might be implied that the order (except for Elisdottir) was assigned in ascending order of seasonal bests, instead of by draw. That might heighten interest of fans, but wouldn't be fair and shouldn't be done. Hopefully, either the reported order was incorrect or represented a very unlikely mathematical chance.
