NR for Samuels...assuming he didn't jump higher earlier this year.
"You have some interesting coaching theories that seem to have little potential."

Hey you're right! Though it gets only a brief mention from the Jamaican media.

Meanwhile, K'Don Samuels improved on his own national senior record on Saturday when he cleared 5.35m to win the silver medal in the pole vault at the NACAC Under-23 Championships in Leon, Mexico.
Samuels, who also holds the junior (4.85m) and indoor records (5.25m), surpassed the 5.31m he set earlier this year in Lubbock, Texas to finish behind American winner Michael Woepse (5.40m) and ahead of another American Logan Cunningham (5.30m).
The former Jamaica College athlete, who just completed his first year at South Plains Junior College in Texas, had cleared 5.31m earlier this year breaking the 5.30m set in 2002 by Jabari Ennis and had won the national senior title at the senior championships just over a week ago with a 5.02m vault.

KDon has the potential to jump so much higher than 5.35. If he cleaned up the top of his jump a little and wasn't stiff like a board coming off the pole he'd have a shot at 5.60+
