Wojciechowski 5.86, Clavier 5.65 in Gent

the polish jumper Paweł Wojciechowski has smashed his PB of 5.60 to jump 5.86 :dazed: in Gent (Belgium) last Sunday. It is also a national record.

Umm... they did measure the bar, right? I would think so since it was a NR... That is HUGE to go from 5.60 to 5.86 in one day, and to make 5.86 with some height on it too.

Forgive me for being slightly skeptical... he does look like a talented young vaulter that is improving rapidly and is certainly capable of big PRs. Looking forward to seeing what he does in the future! :yes:

It was Ghent not El Paso.

He also had 5.65 & 5.75 PRs en route.

Read somewhere, that it was possibly the first competition ever, to have a 16 step run-up.

Also heard he ended up on one of the other Polish guys pole for the last hgt 586 -- gone through his series
Plant like crap sometimes ok most times
