Brazilian vaulter João Gabriel Sousa busted for doping

Unread postby rainbowgirl28 » Thu Sep 24, 2009 10:50 am

OK I hate to post something with my primary source being a blog, but as best I can tell all of the primary sources are in Portuguese which I don't speak!

Here is a Brazilian source: http://espnbrasil.terra.com.br/atletism ... A+COMPETIR

http://albertomurray.wordpress.com/2009 ... pn-brazil/

Another caught is João Gabriel Santos Sousa, ……………..jump, of BM&F team and assisted by Elson Miranda, jumper Fabiana Murer’s coach. He used an uncommon mix of drugs: boldenona and exemestane. The first, found in veterinary medication, usually in horses’ medication; the second, diminishes the first’s collateral effects – one of which being breast augmentation.

According to Tilastopaja, he had a best of 5.45 in 2008 and 5.46 in 2009, so whatever he was doing obviously wasn't working too well!
