Opening height was 5.50. At this height, Mazuryk, Chistiakov, Mesnil, and Miles all made on their first try. Scott and Filippidis made on their second, and Dossevi on his third.

Big surprise of the day... Lavillenie NHs!

At 5.60 so far, Miles made on his first, Chistiakov passed, and Mazuryk and Dossevi made on their second. Everyone else on third attempts right now.

So Miles is in the lead! :)

Scott, Filippidis, and Mesnil (!) go out at 5.60.

Four vaulters remain. Miles has a solid lead with no misses. Chistiakov passed the last height and also has no misses. Mazuryk has the one miss at 5.60 and Dossevi has 3 misses total.

Bar now going to 5.70. No World Champs medalists remain.

Mazuryk makes 5.70 on his second attempt to pull into the lead. Chistiakov and Miles will have to clear on this attempt to regain the lead.

Ooh video of Chistiakov's third... he comes down on the bar. So he will finish 4th, Dossevi 3rd.

Miles up now, he is in second, needs to make this and then 5.80 to try and win.

Aww Derek bails on his third.

So the places are finalized, now it's just up to Mazuryk to see if he wants to keep jumping. It's been a long year, I wouldn't be surprised if he stops.
