I think we should give girls credit so my list is only going to be Girls.

1. Jenn Suhr- Her jump is excellent. Even though Yelena has the higher heights, Jenn has the better jump.
2. Tiffany Maskulinski- If you have ever met her, she is not tall and jumped 14 ft. It is by far one of the best jumps I've ever seen from a pure technical standpoint. I think she could only get on 13ft or holding down on a 13-7 so quite a top end.
3. Svetlana Feofanova- another woman with a vault that has gotten better year after year. Her early jumps did have that long held phase but since she got rid of that, she is a totally new vaulter.
4. Fabiana Murer- A real solid vault.
5. Stacy Dragila- I was never a fan of her take-off. Besides that, her jump had a great top end and she helped put Women's PV on the map along with Feofanova. Her jumps still rank high on the all-time lists for a reason.
6. Anna Rogowska- Up until her late turn top end, she has a solid swing and tries to get tight to the pole and get as much out of it as she can. Her top end needs work though.
7. Annika Becker- I am not a huge lefty fan but her jump is fairly constant with no huge passive phase. Another woman with a solid all around jump.
8. Monika Pyrek- Her standards usually look deeper meaning she is really trying to do the jump as best as possible. She does have a slight tuck that some people don't like some people do.
9. Silke Spiegelburg - She is still developing but there is a good jump in there.
10. Jillian Schwartz- She never appears to be on a long approach but jumps some pretty good heights.

After writing this I realized I have 3 Lefty's on the list even though I said i wasn't a fan of them. Shows what I know. I liked Yelena's jump at one point but when it comes to technique which is the topic, I think she uses athletic ability more than form.

1) Sergei Bubka: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jibbgUBuuSA
2) Maxim Tarasov: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5H25TG1ee80
3) Kjell Isaksson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7K-HZaXRpSA
4) Borya Celentano: http://www.bubbapv.com/Images/Borya%20Practice.gif
5) Kurt Dunn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L5IJTYHDt4
6) Nick Frawley: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fONGG3YLQ3k
7) Greg Duplantis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mN81WrPYHz8
8) Eemeli Salomaki: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeM-Q7Oz ... ideo_title
9) Lazaro Borges: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yygN40lO ... ture=feedu
10) Danny Ecker: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjYuyrBy ... re=related
11) LoJo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45RBZehn2Cc
12) Tim McMichael: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPHdlD8Gk4c

I feel that these are 12 of the best vaulters to look at for technique. Pick nearly anything about any of their vaults (except Borges's run) and try to emulate it :)

i think this is a fantastic topic. Can anyone on here put together a list of say all the vaulters in history to have ever cleared 18ft or 18'6 as a qualifying standards and then We can try and make a poll on this site to have Us as a community Vote for who we think are the top ten vaulters technically of all time!?

The simple answer is no. The IAAF website list 80 male pole vaulters over 5.81m (~19ft). And once you get under 19 the number of vaulters increases exponentially. Here is the list of the top 80 if you want to look at it though.
