Has Donetsk ever happened without any of the top 3 women in the world jumping? Jenn was never going, but what happened to Issy and Holly?

Video of Lavillenie's journey to Donetsk with some friendly advice from Bubka. Parlez-vous Francais? It seems like there were cameras all over the place...I'd love to watch the full event if anyone ever finds a link.

Has anyone else ever noticed that the awesome statue of Bubka in Donetsk has both hands flipped over and the wrong leg back? Hope they didn't have to execute the sculptor :dazed:
...probably not a big deal since not many people know anything about vaulting!

The wrong leg back is almost understandable but the hands the wrong way round on the pole is incredible - suspect the sculptor copied a martial figure carrying a flag from somewhere!! Did no one check the design before it was completed????? :o

Thank you for posting this! Great footage. So seldom that televised PV meets get the "right angle"...especially in the US. Maybe someone from NBC will read this and hopefully film the PV from the side near the pit (or set up the fancy sliding cameras they had in Donetsk), for the Olympic trials and the olympics themselves. I won't hold my breath!

Our best bet is that Steve Chappell will be filming with his awesome high-speed camera...
