Pole vaulter Sally Peake has qualified for the World University Games
Sally Peake cleared 4.30 metres to break her own Welsh pole vault record at the Welsh Athletics Championships.
There was also a strong performance from Carys Parry in the hammer, as the Commonwealth Games silver medallist came back from three months out with a broken arm to win in Cardiff.
"The Welsh Championships is always in my plan and I really wanted to come here and win," Peake said.
"I'm really glad to finally get that height, it was a goal at the start."
As well as securing the Welsh title, Peake's 4.30m mark was also enough to qualify her for the World University Games.
