Blaze hits sports centre
Arsonists have torched sports equipment worth almost £40,000 at the Mary Peters athletics track in Belfast.

Hurdles, javelins and pole vault mats were among the items destroyed in the blaze at the venue named after Northern Ireland's most famous Olympian.

The fire was started in a 40ft storage container, and had initially caused a risk of a sudden fireball explosion.
