good morning

it would be interesting to know how the injuries came about.

were their injuries during a vault session, meet, short run, long run.. or during a non-jump training session..

it has been my experience that "over striding" has always contributed heavily to the majority of injury issues..

ps.. i'm in Berlin and hope to film every jump with marks at 14,15,16,17 meters.. (6 steps)

and film the men and women’s long jump with marks from 12.75 to 14.55 meters...(6 steps)

VAULTING POLE: Polish pole vaulter Anna Rogowska will compete at the world championships despite spraining her right ankle in training on Wednesday.

Rogowska landed awkwardly on her right foot during practice in Germany, team doctor Marek Prorok said Friday. The 28-year-old Pole, who took bronze at the 2004 Athens Olympics, was walking normally Friday but had yet to run on the ankle.

The injury is not to her plant foot, used to push off during the vault, but could still dent the Pole's medal chances.

Rogowska had emerged as a strong contender in Berlin since upsetting Olympic and world champion Yelena Isinbayeva at last month's London Grand Prix.

Qualifications start for women's pole vault on Saturday, and the final is two days later.

PRAGUE — Czech Republic’s reigning World silver medallist Katerina Badurova says she will not compete at next month’s IAAF World Championships in Berlin because of health problems.

Badurova, who did not qualify for the Beijing Olympics last summer after suffering a right knee injury, is yet to compete this season and the vauter believes she would not be sharp enough to be competitive.

"I haven’t competed in enough competitions to enable me to defend my silver medal," she told the daily Sport on Tuesday.

She added: "I’ve agreed with my doctor and coach not to push things."

PRAGUE: Czech Republic polevaulter Katerina Badurova revealed on Tuesday that she has been forced to pull out of the world athletics
championships next month because of health problems.

The 2007 silver medalist at the Osaka world championships has been suffering a series of injuries which have hampered her preparations.

"I haven't competed in enough competitions to enable me to defend my silver medal," the 26-year-old told the daily Sport.

Badurova failed to qualify for the Beijing Olympics because of a right knee injury and has not competed in any event this season.

"I've agreed with my doctor and coach not to push things," she added.
